Annual Congregational Meeting Postponed due to Covid-19

In consultation with public health officials, the Council voted to postpone the Congregational Meeting in November. At this time, no date has been set. We will be closely monitoring and collecting data, as well as meeting as needed to make that decision. We continue to care about your safety. The current council voted to remain in place until our meeting can be held. Additionally, the council voted to keep the same budget in place.

HISTORIC HOUSES OF WORSHIP TOUR CANCELLED FOR 2020

In consultation with our partners, community groups, volunteer leaders and public health officials, the Historic Houses of Worship Tour Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the Annual Historic Houses of Worship Tour previously scheduled for  December 26, 2020. This complex event requires experienced volunteers to plan, advertise, make our churches available, and more, working together over multiple months. Alpha Class Resumes

The Alpha Class will resume meeting Sunday, October 11 at 9:00 a. m. in the Parish Hall. We are just starting our study of the Book of Genesis. The class will last about 50 minutes to allow those wishing to attend Worship at 10 a. m. to do so. Tables have been arranged to allow social distancing and masks will be required as mandated by state guidelines. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please bring your own Bible. Looking forward to sharing God's Word.

FOOD BANK MOVING INDOORS

On August 31, 2020 the outside food bank will be closed! Beginning September 1, 2020 the Food Bank will return to its normal operating hours, Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The process will be a little different so please follow signs and instructions from volunteers. Masks are required. Social distancing is required.

NEW MASKING ORDER

EXPANDED MASKING ORDER. With the unanimous support of the Maryland Coronavirus Recovery Team, Governor Hogan is expanding the statewide masking order that has been in effect since April 18. Under this order, which takes effect Friday, July 31 at 5:00 p.m., all Marylanders over the age of five are required to wear face coverings in the public spaces of all businesses across the state.

IN PERSON WORSHIP SERVICE HOURS

YES WE ARE HAVING IN PERSON WORSHIP! There will be one service each Sunday at 10:00 am until further notice. It is hoped that things will continue to open and we will reach Phase 3 of the state's reopening plan quickly. We will be wearing masks and continue social distancing. Hope to see you soon.
