2015 Community Book Drive

The 2015 annual community book drive is coordinated by United Way, Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC), Hagerstown Rotary Club, and Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC). All books collected will be sorted during the 24th annual Day of Caring on October 8th and distributed to at-risk children to enhance efforts to improve literacy rates. Our Food Bank has been awarded the Rural Food Bank of the Year by the Maryland Food Bank and will be recognized at the Hunger Advocate Awards Breakfast at the Radisson at Cross Keys in Baltimore on September 17th.

God's Work, Our Hands - Sept. 13

Again this year, congregations of our Conference will be participating in an ELCA-wide project to help needy neighbors. It is scheduled for Sunday, September 13th, and is called “God’s Work, Our Hands”. St. Mark’s Organ Repair and Matching Gift

The church has been given an anonymous matching gift of $2,500 for the cost to repair the organ blower motor. This means that up to $2,500 will be matched by this donor dollar for dollar of donations by the congregation. To date we have $440 towards our goal of $2,500. You can give to this cause by placing beside your donation “Organ Fund” on your offering envelopes in the “Other” line or using a pew envelope with a note the offering is for the “Organ Fund”.
