To the Disciples of Christ at St. Mark.
Greetings and Peace be upon us all. 2020 has been a year that none of us anticipated. No one could have predicted the events of the past several months and no one knows yet what lies ahead. Yet, in the midst of it all, God has blessed our church’s mission and ministry and continues to guide us into the future. God is with us. We are not alone. Thanks be to God. At St. Mark’s, we have navigated through these recent days—sometimes succeeding and sometimes, falling a bit short. However, one thing that has been crystal clear is the incredible strength and determination of our community of faith. Strength and determination only come from a deep and abiding faith and God’s abounding grace. I am so grateful to be a part of St. Mark’s during this time to witness your resounding response to the needs of our community. Thank you.
We all have so much for which to be grateful during this season. As in other times of uncertainty or confusion, this has been a time where priorities are made clearer and blessings more obvious. In response to God’s generosity to us, I’d like to invite you to join me in making a contribution to the Gratitude Offering at St.Mark’s. The Gratitude Offering is a one-time contribution to honor someone or something that has been a blessing to you over the past few months. You can make your gift in several ways: 1) Return a check by mail or in the Sunday Offering 2) Visit our website, www.stmarkslc.org and make a gratitude gift by Tithe.ly or by PayPal.
Please be sure to go to our Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/stmarkshagerstown/ or email Alison Tyson at email@example.com to share the name of the person, people, ministry, or something else for which you are grateful. We will be acknowledging the Gratitude Offering honorees with a special bulletin cover for our worship service on Harvest Home Sunday, November 22, 2020. Please be sure to send in your Gratitude Offering as soon as possible, so we can include your honoree on November 22. Thank you for continuing to be the generous and loving people God created you to be. Thanks be to God.
Sincerely, Pastor Stan
